The discs have been made using data from a series of different missions of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and the United States Naval Observatory (USNO).

In the New Version, each component has a separate compartment to prevent damage during transportation.
